Primary care has never been so responsible for administering the quantity of vaccines as they are right now. This has put unprecedented pressure on resources with staff working harder than ever before vaccinating the general public at an astonishing rate. Meticulous planning, flexibility and dedication has and is being applied to ensure the UK emerges as safely and quickly from the worldwide pandemic.
Given all of the relentless efforts that have gone into setting and running these facilities, it is imperative that there are no weak points. Seal Calibration has hopefully also played its small part. Staff came back to work over the Christmas break of their own will to assist some of our best and most valued customers source key equipment in super-fast time so they could set up their vaccination sites when their allocated equipment was stuck on the other side of the channel tunnel. In addition, we have now serviced & calibrated over 1000 vaccine fridges procured and delivered by NHS England to facilitate the opening of hundreds of new sites.
Have you had your vaccine fridges serviced recently? Most likely it will be a requirement if you receive an inspection, may well be a requirement of your insurance company and is a recommendation of the manufacturers to have an annual vaccine fridge service completed.
Most medical centres already have had vaccine fridge servicing completed in the last 12 months but with such an interrupted and unique year please make sure this isn’t a service that has slipped through the net.
