27 Nov Medica 2019
In November our team popped over to Dusseldorf Germany for the biggest trade fair in Europe. Keeping abreast of all of the latest medical equipment and technology. There were 19 massive halls of all the medical equipment and devices you have ever seen. Here at Seal Calibration, we aim to be the best at what we do, training our calibration engineers to the highest possible levels, using the latest diagnostic equipment to test and access your medical equipment and Medica was a great insight into what may be just around the corner in terms of new technology. It is also a good opportunity to catch up with some of our suppliers such as Seca, Seers, Schiller, Albert Waeshle, Bedfont, Henleys Medical Supplies, Microlife, Times and many more. We have hopefully also found some even better digital test equipment to further speed up our engineers on-site and cause out valued customers less disruption on the day. Some of the medical equipment that our calibration engineers are asked to test can be less than brilliant quality, some surgeries try and save money by using domestic versions of equipment such as scales and thermometers for patients and vaccine fridges! Some equipment is frustratingly just not of the greatest quality such as pulse oximeters and ear syringe machines and some is just extremely expensive for what it is so it was interesting and we will be doing more research and testing of some of the equipment on offer to see if there are better, more accurate, reliable and better-built versions available so all we can say is watch this space.
